If one wonders why we need nuclear energy and fossil fuels despite the proven fact that we could now run almost everything on alternative forms of energy, wonder no more. The reason has to do with the house of cards that our masters have built and the control they wish to exert on everyone’s daily lives. The destruction of our habitat be damned! The oligarchs must have control.

And so it is that they keep on pushing fossil fuels and nuclear energy despite the danger. But they are more insidious than we give them credit for. Their hold on the population is like an interlocking puzzle. They own access to the raw materials and the means to extract them. They own the means of production so they can control what is produced. They own the means of distribution and transportation so they can control who gets what goods and when. They own the media so that they can control the conversation and the thinking of the people. Finally, they also own the government so that they can manipulate it to follow policies that advance their agenda. The only thing they don’t own is the truth, which they claim to own but do not.

The industries they own are also interlocked. For instance, the medical community has diagnosed a few million people with depression and many of these unfortunate folks have been prescribed antidepressants. The side effects are quite distracting making antidepressants qualify as an antirevolutionary drug. Who could think of changing the system if they are suffering from depression, headaches, insomnia, sleepiness and sexual dysfunction as well as suicidal thoughts? Not only do they help control the population by drugging them, these pharmaceuticals make a lot of money. The information missing here is where they come from. The petroleum industry can take credit for that. Many, if not most, pharmaceuticals are based on chemicals that are synthesized from petroleum. Yet the petroleum we have is vanishing and is of a lower grade than what has been available in the past. So, despite the fact that there are alternative to fossil fuels for energy and even despite the fact that the amount of energy put in to process the oil we have left into useable energy has increased due to the lower quality of petroleum available, the drilling goes on. Why? They need pharmaceuticals and money for control.

Let’s take a look at another industry: the nuclear industry. This industry has had its share of disasters. Chernobyl, Three Mile Island and Fukashima have released into our living space an incredible and damaging amount of radiation. Uranium mining in the US has contaminated hundreds of thousands of acres of land, some of it farmland, with radioactive dust and the Native Americans who live in the areas that are being mined have a big cancer and diabetes problem. Both kinds of diseases can result from exposure to radiation. In addition, hundreds of thousands of smaller leaks all over the world and testing of nuclear weapons has raised the background radiation level over much of the planet. So why do we have to keep building more of these dangerous, dirty plants? As it turns out, nuclear plants are producers of plutonium which we all know is vital to making nuclear bombs. The nuclear industry, including the arms part, is a huge money maker despite the fact that much of the money is locked up in bombs that either have to be stored, upgraded, replaced, or, heaven forbid, used. The taxpayer pays the tab on all this, of course, at the expense of schools, the poor, infrastructure and so on. Remember, the oligarchs own the mining, production, transportation and sell points of all of this. I’m sure it adds a substantial amount to their bottom line.

Much of what happens in our government and in commerce is secret. We are sold and buy in to an idea or product usually without knowing anything except what the media tells us. Should we believe that they are telling us what we need to know? Their track record speaks for itself. Tobacco was pushed (yes, pushed just like the drug it is) on us and we were told it was not harmful, even healthy. The industry knew otherwise, it turns out, just as the energy and fossil fuel companies knew about the effects of global warming as far back as the sixties. Instead of trying to solve the problem, they spent a great deal of time and money trying to discredit those who were sounding the alarm. It continues until this day. How about the pharmaceutical companies who have come right out to state that curing disease hurts the bottom line? Oh, and when they wanted our approval for nuclear energy, they assured us they could keep the waste secure and harmless for the entire million years it takes for the waste to cool down and stop producing radiation. How did that work out? Ask anyone living near the Hanford nuclear processing and storage facility or near any of the other places on the planet where the wastes are stored. Should we trust those of us who got us into wars by falsely claiming we were attacked (Vietnam) or that we needed to take them out because of WMDs (Iraq) they supposedly had pointed at us?

The bottom line is that too few people have too much money and power. They are using, manipulating and milking us like cows. Believing anything they or those on their payroll say is sheer folly. Believing that they have humanity’s best interest in mind is just lunacy. That being said, there are far too many people believing in all the expert opinions we’re getting through the media. Let’s make this simple. We are playing a popular board game, Monopoly. You have just bought Boardwalk and Park Place and want to win the game. You have a lot of cash sitting in front of you. What do you do? This is what is happening to the 99%- they are being bankrupted and taken out of the game.
